Plain-language summary
PeelPNG's current image workflow is designed to process the images you choose in your browser. The service does not need to upload image files for that workflow. Account and credit features may still require data to be processed on our servers.
Data that may be processed
- Browser data: local preferences and temporary usage or recovery data needed by the app.
- Account data: identifiers provided through Clerk, such as your account ID and email address, when you sign in.
- Credits: account credit balances and usage records stored in Cloudflare D1. License hashes may be stored; full license keys are not stored in plain text.
- Minimal technical data the hosting provider needs for security, availability, and diagnostics.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data, use your images to train models, or add image files to a gallery or database as part of the current image workflow.
Product analytics
PeelPNG uses PostHog for product analytics. We use it to understand how the product is used, measure the Upload → Detect → Export flow, learn from feedback, and find product problems. PeelPNG configures analytics to minimize unnecessary collection and does not intentionally send uploaded image content, image files, filenames, image or brush coordinates, masks, email addresses, or authentication tokens to PostHog.
Analytics may include event timestamps, pseudonymous device or session identifiers, browser and operating-system information, device type, language, timezone, screen or viewport dimensions, campaign parameters, and aggregate properties about the PeelPNG action. Source run IDs are random UUIDs and are not derived from image content. Our PostHog project is configured to use PostHog's EU Cloud. Automatic pageviews, pageleaves, autocapture, Session Replay, heatmaps, and Web Vitals autocapture are currently disabled.
Providers
Clerk provides sign-in. Cloudflare hosts the application and stores the account and credit data described above. Payments are not active in this beta; any future payment provider will be described here before checkout opens.
Retention and rights
Retention depends on the data and the operational or legal need for keeping it. You may request access, correction, or deletion through the Support link in the footer.
Security and changes
We use HTTPS, server secrets, and hashed licenses where applicable. No system is infallible; if this policy changes materially, its date will be updated and notice will be shown in the tool.
